I like this a lot, Auth Imp. Fireflies are my favorite. We rarely see them now. When I was growing up in Chicago they were everywhere. You’d think they’d be down here in AL, but for some reason they are not. I miss them. Fantastic magic describes them perfectly!
There used to be this tree where I lived a couple of years ago. In the month of August there used to be thousands of fireflies there. And all of us kids used to just sit there staring at them. Now I realize how much I miss watching them,
I must confess I’ve never seen a firefly. I wonder if, as you suggest, they would make me amorous. Hmn… No more Viagra for me!
Oh wow, you don’t know what you’re missing. They’re Fantastic magic! We have thousands of them!
I don’t know if they’ll make you amorous, don’t throw out your Viagra just yet. Wink They’re flashing lights are the males way of attracting a mate.

Thanks Susan! I would miss them too. I look forward to June when they start blowing blinker kisses EVERYWHERE.

What a nice memory. Thank you for sharing it with me Shalivika. They literally dazzle me every summer!
I could feel the sweat dripping from this haiku. Very visual picture you paint.
Thank you so much. And thanks for commenting.
